The more you change the less you feel

November 29, 2004

Hey kids! How was your thanksgiving? Mine was Okay, our sink contracted a un-clearable clog and left my family sinkless.. That was interesting, but besides that it was okay. It was really strange not having my dad there. Usually on Thanksgiving I would always help him make the mashed potatoes and he would always teach me how to carve a turkey. (he’s taught me like fifteen times but I still don’t know how to). I think it was strange too because we didn’t have a huge crowd like we usually do.. But it was still enjoyable. It just didn’t feel like Thanksgiving, If that makes any sense. Well finals are coming up and I am totally swamped with work. I have to shoot a 10 image series on the city and I am not liking anything that I am coming up with but I went shooting today and hopefully I will get something good out of it. Speaking of Photo I ran into Simon yesterday at pictureline. Even though we didn’t talk a lot it was good to see him, it kind of reminded me why I decided to go into photography I’m thinking more and more about going to UVSC in a year or so, I just don’t want to live in Orem. Jen’s dad commutes to Orem every day.. So I was thinking maybe I could too. I dunno. Anyways, This weekend has been way fun. On Friday I worked with my little brother and Sarah which was fun even though it was busy. I am totally excited for this holiday season, I just hope I can lighten up so everybody doesn’t end up hating me…. Moving on.. On Saturday I spent the majority of the day with Jen just wandering aimlessly around downtown Salt Lake city. We went to the Gateway and then to lunch. We went to the California Pizza Kitchen. It was super Yummy. You should try it if you haven’t already. After lunch we went to a couple more stores and decided to go to a movie. We met up with our other friend and decided to go see a movie. It was so much fun. It was fun because these girls were my best friends in high school so it was kind of like visiting a memory all night. We even spent a lot of time in Taylorsville (where I used to live) It was really cool. We went to see Return to Neverland. It was really good. It really depressed me though.. Which I think it was just because of my dad still. Its so strange to me that I am still dwelling on this so much. I think I never realized what was going on while he was still alive, I just ignored it all, and pretended like nothing was happening.. That everything was okay. I hate it that I can’t get over this. I am always cranky and angry at work and I am so incredibly fake at school. I think all of my friends are getting really irritated with me. I just don’t know what is wrong with me. I just want it all to end already. I mean things can’t be like this forever… Right? Anyways I better get going.. Oh by the way, The song of the day is Tonight, Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins.. Most of you probably already know it.. But if you don’t ask me for a copy of it. Its really good… So good I thought I’d let you all read the lyrics.
Have a good’un

Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel
Believe, believe in me, believe
That life can change, that you’re not stuck in vain
We’re not the same, we’re different tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight
And you know you’re never sure
But your sure you could be right
If you held yourself up to the light
And the embers never fade in your city by the lake
The place where you were born
Believe, believe in me, believe
In the resolute urgency of now
And if you believe there’s not a chance tonight

YAY!!

My computer is home! Yay for me! I am so happy! So how are you all doing? I am alright. Things have been nuts around here because I’m still trying to get back on track when it comes to my life. I’m pretty sure things are going to calm down soon. I don’t have a ton of type to blog, but I had to share this hilarious conversation with you.

You think I got where I am today because I dressed like Peter Pan over here? says:

You think I got where I am today because I dressed like Peter Pan over here? says:

The Unlucky one says:

The Unlucky one says:

The Unlucky one says:

You think I got where I am today because I dressed like Peter Pan over here? says:

You think I got where I am today because I dressed like Peter Pan over here? says:

The Unlucky one says:

You think I got where I am today because I dressed like Peter Pan over here? says:

I WANT MY COMPUTER BACK!!!

November 9, 2004

Okay so I haven’t forgotten about all of you I swear!! My computer is STILL broken and hopefully I will be getting it back this week, so everybody cross their fingers for me. So how are you all doing? I am doing just dandy here in good old Utah. Things are still strange since the passing of my father but its really starting to look up. Since I’ve last posted, I have gone to Jimmy Eat World, gotten in a car accident and thrown 2 (count ‘em) 2 Parties. Jimmy Eat World was friggin awesome and they sounded great! I got into a sort of fight with this one chick but it was nothing to serious.. I did shove her though. It was exciting. As for my car accident, I was rear ended like three days after my fathers funeral (October was literally a month from Hell) and I get to get a new bumper because of it, I’m so excited to get a rental car for the like three days I will be car-less. I hope I get something super fast. As for the two parties it was both Barry’s and My mommy’s birthday this past weekend. They were fun and food filled. Hmmm I don’t really have a lot to say… Its a lot easier to post every day.. Hmmm Okay well I am going to go but before I do lemme tell you to check out a few songs… Third Eye Blind; The God of Wine and Motorcycle Drive by. Cold Play; Don’t Panic and the rest of the Parachutes Album.. A Perfect Circle; Their New CD Emotive, its pretty cool, its mostly covers, I really like their cover of Imagine. And As always, Dave Matthews Band, Ben Folds (Five) and Muse. Have a good’un
