Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

March 27, 2005

Oooh I have done so much since I last posted.. first of all I FINALLY applied to the U. I have needed to do that for a long time and I finally did yesterday. I talked to a counsler and she said that most of my photo credit should transfer which is a HUGE relief. I am so excited to go there. Last Friday my friends and I went to the Gallery Stroll which is this Really cool thing in Salt Lake every third Friday. All of these galleries stay open super late (until like nine..which is late for galleries) and you can go around and check out different artists and such. I went with Sarah, Jen and Ryan(My newest employee) and we had a blast! We visited 3 galleries and it was really refreshing. I really need to do more “art” type things.. it makes me a happier person.. Anyways.. While we were out strolling we went to a gallery called the New Visions Gallery which is currently calling for submissions. So I have decided to submit. I am really excited about it, even if i don’t get accepted, It feels really good to try and do something professionally with my photography. I’ve decided on 10 pictures, most of them have been posted on this site at one time or another.. but if anyone is interested in seeing them let me know.. It makes me feel special when people do… hee. in the last few weeks I have also learned how to drive a manual transmission! I am super excited.. next saturday I am going to go test drive the bmw and then hopefully that wednesday or thursday I am FINALLY going to purchase it. I am really looking forward to having a car thats door opens from both the inside and the outside.. I am also excited about keeping the rain OUTSIDE of the car.. My brothers still aren’t too happy about me deciding to purchase the car, but oh well.. I have researched it so much and i feel really good about it. Man, so much has happened since I last posted and I can’t even think about what to write.. OH!! I saw Ben Lee (If I were you, I would click his name) last tuesday and oh. my. gosh. It was really amazing. I haven’t been to such a good concert in a really long time. It was really refreshing to go to a small venue and not see some halfass punk band playing the same power chord over and over again. For those of you who don’t know who Ben Lee is, he is a singer/songwriter from Australia, he is most commonly known for his work that he did with Ben Folds (another amazing artist). They were in a short lived band called The Bens (Ben Kweller was also in the bens) and only released like 5 or so songs. but back to the concert, everything was jsut really fun. The venue was really dumpy, but still fun. It was basically a big black room with a big wooden 12×72x120 box (the stage). There wasn’t very many people there, so the crowd mentality wasnt that of KILL EVERYONE SO I CAN BE IN FRONT!! which was so refreshing I can’t even begin to talk about it. Sarah and I were probably 2 or 3 rows of people from the front, but we still had ample personal space. Finally, Mr. Ben Lee himself was amazing. His music is really fun, and different. His band was super swanky and all were dressed casual. the whole setting was really intimate and casual which is why I think i liked it so much. They played most of the songs from Awake is the New Sleep (good cd) and some of his older songs as well. He was very personable, he would forget words or randomly stop playing a song just “because”. It was really REALLY fun. Hmm This is a really long entry.. Well I had better go, For tomorrow is easter and I am not at home. Its really strange not being at home on a holiday… Easter just doesn’t seem to be my holiday.. (last year at this time I was moving) okay well kids, Have a good’un!

YOU CAN POST COMMENTS! YAY!!!

March 16, 2005

Okay, so we all knew that I wasn’t going to make it.. A picture a day is a really big commitment.. So yeah.. But I am trying to post more often.. Anyways BIG NEWS: YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE A BLOGGER ACCOUNT TO POST COMMENTS ON MY SITE! I’m really excited. I think I am going to email all my friends and tell them once I am done.. I always email about my blog people must think I am really vain. Oh well. I have some more big news! Today I was offered 2 jobs! I am going to work as a personal assistant but it wont be for at least a month or so, but I think it will be a good thing. I’m really excited but I think I will learn a lot while working there. I want to learn a bunch of programs before I work there just incase I need to know them.. I want to re-learn Microsoft office so I can re-remember all the little shortcuts and such, and I also want to learn how to use Intuit Quickbooks so if anyone knows anything I’d really appreciate it! Not much else is going on here. I still haven’t bought the car yet but I think I might next week, I just have to rearrange some money and get paid.. My friend who I am buying from is probably really frustrated with me.. But oh well once again. Anyways, I hope you all are doing well. Have a good’un

Okay So I am going to start doing a “picture of the day” sort of thing.. Now I know you are all thinking “yeah sure just like your “song of the day” Idea.. Well my friends, I think this may be different.. But I make no promises. I don’t really know if I have enough initiative to post every day..ANYWAYS things here have been alright. We have hired Ryan and so far everything is good. Aside from work socially I have been kind of busy.. Last Wednesday I went to see What is it? An independent film by Crispen Glover (aka George Mcfly) and oh mylanta that was the WEIRDEST movie I have ever seen. I am not even going to talk about it, If you really want to know, google it. (viewers discretion advised) So lately, I have been into going to cool places to eat and hang out in good ol’ Salt Lake City. So far I have been to a little shop called The Atlantic and a restaurant called Trio. They were both really cool. The Atlantic (between 3rd and 4th south and main) was this cute little European market//diner type place.. I had a turkey and cheese Panini and it was really good. Trio was equally as enjoyable (like 7th south and 9th east), if not just a little bit more. It was SUPER Swanky and I loved the lay out. The only bad thing is that we failed to make reservations so we had to wait for like 30-40 minutes. The food was really good there as well. I got a Cobb salad and creme brulee for desert. Hmmm Friday Night I went to Lisa’s house for delayed Alias night. It was a typical alias night.. Don’t really know what else to say lol.. I don’t know why I’m babbling on and on about what I’ve done in the past few days… But fear not I’m almost done. Saturday I spent the day with Sarah wandering aimlessly around town taking pictures for a friend. It was exciting.. I was taking pictures of the city for my friend who has to base outfits on where they come from (the city). I felt special that she asked me for my pictures hehe. Saturday Night I spent it with Tina (I think that was her code name..) it was tons of fun we didn’t really do anything besides to go eat and drive around.. But it was tons of fun. Its always fun to spend time with old friends and catching up. I’ve decided that I need to spend more time with miss Tina. I also purchased a scanner this weekend which will make it easier for me to post pictures.. So like always, If you have any comment please let me know. I realize that you can’t post anything as a comment but if you could email me or just tell me somewhere I would really appreciate it. Anyways, I hope all is well in your worlds! Have a good’un

It is really hard thinking up so many titles..

March 1, 2005

Hmm so they fired Irwin. While he did bug me, I feel really bad about it all. I didn’t particularly get along with him all the time, but he was a really hard worker and didn’t deserve to be fired. I am learning many a new thing about my employers and it really makes me want to get away from The UPS Store which is sad. Anyways, I got my tax return and now can pay off my car.. Its really sad though because I have all this money and I have to just pay of a debt.. *sigh* oh adulthood. This past weekend I went car test driving since nobody would let my buy the BMW before I test drove other cars.. I test drove a Toyota Carolla and a Volkswagen Jetta. I really didn’t like the Toyota I didn’t like how it felt.. I think I might try to test drive another one.. But I don’t know.. I LOVED the jetta but it was kind of freaky because all these like hazard lights popped on (How’s that for salesmanship?) anyways, I don’t think I want something brand new, and VW has the best certified used whatever according to the consumer guide or whatever (haha I sound like I really know what I’m talking about huh?!) But VW’s are also German, which means they are expensive to fix.. So I should just buy the BMW right? AHHH SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT TO DO!! Oh well.. Anyways, I had better get back to work.. But I will talk to you later. Have a good’un
